Alderley Group is an award-winning, rapidly expanding UK development company specialising in sourcing land for new-build affordable housing schemes. Our in-house construction team, Alderley Partnerships, operates under JCT D&B contracts, delivering high-quality projects across England.

We are seeking experienced Telehandler Forklift Operators to join our team at Alderley Partnerships to assist in the delivery of numerous projects throughout the North West of England, working on housing and apartment developments.

Our site locations are as follows:

Langho, Nr Blackburn

Rishton, Nr Blackburn

Walkden, Manchester

Cheadle, Nr Stockport

Neston, Wirral

Levens, Kendal

 

About the Role

As the Telehandler Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials around the site. Working closely with the Site Manager and subcontractors, your duties will include handling deliveries, transporting goods, and supporting day-to-day site logistics to ensure the smooth running of the development.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the telehandler forklift safely and efficiently to support material movement across the site.
• Unload deliveries and distribute materials to the appropriate trades and areas as instructed.
• Conduct daily checks and maintain upkeep of the machine, reporting any issues or defects.
• Support the Site Manager in managing storage areas, ensuring materials are stored safely and securely.
• Assist in general site duties when required, particularly in supporting the build programme timeline.
• Maintain clear communication with groundworkers, joiners, and other trades to ensure seamless coordination.

 

What You’ll Need

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler (Forklift) licence – essential.
• Previous experience operating a telehandler on a residential construction site.
• Strong understanding of site safety procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative site team.
• A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach.
• Must be punctual and take pride in maintaining site cleanliness and safety.
• Own transport is desirable due to site location
