As part of our ongoing commitment to recognising and rewarding outstanding work within the company, we are delighted to highlight Nick Thawley‘s recent achievements in June! Nick has been a vital part of Alderley Group since February 2024, serving as a Senior Contract Manager. His dedication, expertise, and leadership have been instrumental in driving the success of our projects.
Here’s what Nick had to say about his role and experiences:
Describe your role and responsibilities as a Senior Contract Manager?
“My role as Senior Contract Manager involves guiding and supporting the site team to deliver top-quality projects. I work closely with the commercial and design teams to ensure everything runs smoothly. I chair monthly client meetings to discuss KPIs, risk management, and project timelines. I also liaise regularly with clients to ensure their requirements are met and coordinate with Local Authority Building Control to comply with regulations. Additionally, I engage with the local community, schools, and authorities to ensure we build with their considerations at the forefront.”
Which projects are you currently in charge of?
“I am currently in charge of two major projects – Pomeroy Court in Huyton and Povey Road in Warrington. These projects are progressing well, and it’s rewarding to see the quality and impact of our work on the community.”
What was a recent highlight?
“Recently, I had the privilege of hosting the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Housing 21, at both Povey Road and Pomeroy Court. The visits went well – we received feedback on how clean, well-organised, and well-presented both sites appeared. It’s always great to receive positive feedback and know that our efforts are appreciated.”
What do you attribute your success to?
“It sounds like a cliché, but I wouldn’t be able to be successful at my job if I didn’t have such great support from the other departments and guidance from the senior hierarchy around me. We are a TEAM, and without our extensive professional contractors and supplier network, it wouldn’t be possible. I’m grateful for the collaborative environment at Alderley Group.”
